TECHNICAL INFO

Product Characteristics of Dumaplast PVC claddings

  1. Density of our material is about 1.500 g/l according to NBN T42-406 and ISO 1183
  2. Chemical insulation: heat resistance coefficient PVC solid material: 0,16 watt/m°K
  3. Vicat softening temperature according to ISO 306B: 75-80°C: gives an indication of maximal temperature for use: in fact 60°C
  4. Linear elongation coefficient according to ASTM-D696: 8 * 10 exp -5 per °K
  5. UV-resistant: depending on the amount and quality of the white colorant and stabilizer:
    • Test of 183 hours of exposure to Xenon UV radiation and artificial visible light at a temperature of 45°C and a relative humidity of 60% according to NBN G62-002-2 (=ISO 105-B02) gave the value "7" as a result. Scale: 1 = completely discoloured, 8 = not discoloured.
    • Test of 5.500 hours of exposure according to ISO 4892-2: wet cycle 18 minutes, dry cycle 102 minutes, 550 W/m2 energy between 300 and 800 nm (UV and visible light), black panel temperature 60°C, total doses 11 GJ/m2: equivalent of 6 years in a Moderate (Central European) Climate or 4 years in a Severe (Mediterranean) Climate.
    • Result: decolourisation dE maximum 2,0
  6. Mechanical characteristics:
    • elongation at 20°C - BS2782/320C - 142%
    • strength at 20°C - BS2782/320C - 44 N/mm2
    • E-modulus at 20°C - BS 2782/335A - 2.600 N/mm2
  7. Food Contact (standard XP ENV 1186/1-2-3) for our PVC claddings

test executed by acknowledged lab LNE Laboratoire National d'Essais in France: positive result.

Some general information:

    • non toxic material
    • washable, do not use aggressive cleaners (chlorine solvents), only water and neutral (pH 6 – 9) soap

2. chemical composition of finished product:

    • Polymer PVC
    • White colorant Titan Dioxide TiO2, also resistance to weathering
    • Economic filler chalk or calcium carbonate CaCO3
    • Stabilizer: parafines as lubricant and calcium-zinc stearates for the prevention of heat degradation during the process and resistance to weathering

(radiation UV - visible light - IR, temperature and relative humidity, chemicals)

3. technical characteristics for raw materials

    • None of these raw materials are classified as dangerous according to the national laws or the European Directives. (Chemical Agents National Law KB 11/03/02; ER 98/24/EG; Title 5 Codex National Law, 67/548/EEG, 88/379/CEE, 1999/45/CE; 2001/58/EC, 2001/59/EC, 2001/60/EC)

4. List of other data

    • Impact strength v-notch at 23°C - 7.5 kJ/m²
    • Tensile impact strength at -20°C - 660 kJ/m²
    • Dilatation: 0.08 mm/m/°C
